Documents we can assist with

The appropriate process depends on how the document was issued, whether a signature must be witnessed, and the requirements of the overseas recipient or destination country.

Important: Online booking and document upload do not mean every notarial act can be completed entirely remotely. Some matters require original documents, identity verification, physical attendance or signing in the presence of a notary. We confirm this after review.

Timing and online eligibility

Many electronically issued records can be assessed online first. A hard-copy original, physical attendance, identity checks, institutional verification or a witnessed signature may still be required, depending on the document and destination country. We will explain this before proceeding. Timeframes for DFAT, embassies and overseas authorities are outside our control.

How the online process works

Tell us your requirements

Select the service, destination country and intended use.

Upload documents

Send clear electronic copies for an initial requirements review.

Receive instructions

We confirm identification, originals, attendance, fees and delivery requirements.

Complete and deliver

Attend or send originals where required, then receive the completed documents by the agreed method.

Electronic and hard-copy documents

Documents originally issued electronically may often be uploaded for review and verification. If the original was issued in hard copy, the original may need to be inspected or delivered before the notarial act can be completed.

The receiving authority, DFAT, embassy or consulate may impose additional requirements. Confirming the destination country and intended use at the beginning helps avoid unnecessary delay.

Frequently asked questions

Can every document be notarised completely online?

No. Some services can begin online, but documents requiring a witnessed signature, original-document inspection or specific identity checks may require physical attendance or delivery of originals.

Should I choose an Apostille or Authentication?

This depends on the destination country and the receiving authority. Ask the overseas recipient what it requires, or provide us with the destination and intended use for guidance on the correct pathway.

Can I upload an electronically issued document?

Yes, it can be uploaded for initial review. We may ask for verification information or the original issuer email before confirming that it can be used.

What if my document is not listed?

Contact us with a copy and details of its intended use. The lists above are common examples rather than an exhaustive catalogue.

Are DFAT and embassy fees included?

Government, DFAT, embassy, consular, postage, courier and other third-party charges are separate unless expressly included in your written quote.
